Im looking at some busy months. As always, I teach Dutch in the mornings, but in April and May I will also be teaching in the evenings. I have two courses coming up at the Vernon Community Arts Centre. A full day encaustic workshop early May and a four-week ‘oil painting beyond beginner’s course’. As always, one lesson in the oil painting course will focus on colour, so I’ve been doing lots of playing around with ‘a limited palette’ myself. Every day I set myself the challenge to mix the colour of an object on/ around my desk, like my Ipad cover or my sweater. If you’ve never done this, try it yourself! It will greatly improve your mixing skills.
